So, I've decided that I'm going to participate in the 40 Day Challenge inspired by Danica over at Chicrunner. LittleMan just turned 1, so I'm kind of in a "claim by body back" mode, plus I have a soccer tournament in early July, and I'm determined to be "faster than Denise", which goes back to a comment a teammate made 2 years ago.
My goal is to do something active every day over the next 40 days. In general, I'd like to run 3 miles a day, but on days I have soccer games, I won't likely get another workout in, so it's hard to quantify how much actual running I do on those days.
I set up a challenge for Nike+ where I said I will run 90 miles over the next 40 days. I took 3 miles/day (=120 miles), and subtracted 30 miles because I estimate having 10 days of soccer games during that time (actually will be more than that since I just signed up for a Monday night league, but since I typically run more than 3 miles at a time, I think 90 is a good starting point.
